The 4 E’s of Post-High School Pathways

The "4 E's" framework helps Hawai‘i high school students explore and prepare for life after graduation by offering four distinct directions:

  1. Enroll – Continue your education by enrolling in college or vocational training.

  2. Enlist – Serve in the military and gain valuable training and career experience.

  3. Employ – Enter the workforce directly with the skills and qualifications needed for a job.

  4. Explore – Discover your interests and potential careers through hands-on opportunities like internships, apprenticeships, or job shadowing.

This approach gives students a clear set of options to guide their personal planning and help them make informed decisions about their future.
